True Record Court Reporting provides court reporting and litigation support services. This page explains what information this website collects, why it is collected, and how it is handled.

It describes this website only. It does not describe information you give us by telephone, by email, or in person, and it does not form part of any service agreement between True Record and a law firm or client.

This website collects information that you choose to give us. There are three places where that happens: the deposition booking form, the general service request form, and the contact form.

Depending on which form you use, that information may include:

  • your telephone number
  • a case number or caption
  • deponent names
  • requested date, start time and estimated duration
  • location type, and a venue address where the proceeding is in person
  • the services you are requesting, including any interpreter language
  • a subject, description of need, notes or a message
  • how you heard about us, where you choose to tell us
  • documents you attach to the booking form
  • documents or audio recordings you attach to the service request form

We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and no payment is taken here.

How Information Is Used

Information submitted through this website is used to run the business you have asked us to do. Specifically, to:

  • reply to enquiries and messages
  • process and confirm booking and service requests
  • coordinate reporters, videographers, interpreters and other requested services
  • contact you about a request you have submitted
  • keep internal business and scheduling records
  • keep the website secure and working correctly

We do not sell information submitted through this website, and we do not use it for advertising.

Uploaded Documents and Case Information

Two of the forms on this website accept file uploads. Material submitted this way may include notices, exhibits, case documents or audio recordings, and may relate to a live legal matter.

Uploaded files are stored separately from the website’s public media library and are made available to authorised True Record staff through the website administration area. Uploaded files are not attached to notification emails.

Please send only material you are authorised to send, and only what is needed for the request. If a document is especially sensitive, contact us first and we will agree a suitable way to receive it.

Email Communications

When you submit a form, the details are sent to a True Record email address so that a member of the team can respond. We use the contact details you provide to reply to that request.

Submitting a form does not add you to a marketing list. This website does not send marketing email.

Cookies and Technical Information

This website runs on WordPress, which may set cookies that are necessary for the site to function — for example to keep a session active or to protect a form submission. Ordinary visitors browsing the site are not required to sign in and are not asked to create an account.
