The terms that apply to using this website and sending us a request.

Website Use

This website describes the services True Record Court Reporting provides and allows you to send us a booking request, a service request or a message. It is provided for information and for making those requests.

Using the website does not create a professional relationship on its own, and nothing on it should be taken as legal advice.

Requests Are Not Automatically Confirmed

This is the most important thing on this page. Submitting the booking form, the service request form or the contact form sends us a request. It does not by itself confirm a booking, reserve a reporter, or guarantee that a service is available.

A request is confirmed only when a member of the True Record team confirms it with you directly. Until then, please do not treat a requested date or time as scheduled.

Accuracy of Submitted Information

Please give accurate details when you make a request. Case captions, deponent names, dates, times and venue details are used to arrange the work, and errors in them can affect whether a proceeding can be covered.

If something changes after you have submitted a request, tell us as soon as you can.

Scheduling and Availability

Requested dates, times and durations are subject to availability and to confirmation by True Record. Where a specific reporter is requested we will do our best to accommodate the preference, but availability cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Uploaded Files

Where a form allows you to attach files, please upload only material you are authorised to provide, and only what is relevant to the request.

You keep whatever rights you already hold in the material you send. Uploading a file to this website gives True Record permission to use it for the purpose of handling your request, and nothing more.

Files are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Communications

When you submit a form you are asking us to get in touch about that request, so we may contact you by email or telephone using the details you gave. This does not sign you up to anything else.

Fees and Payment

No fees are quoted or taken through this website. Charges applicable to a particular proceeding or service, and the terms on which they are payable, are agreed separately with True Record.

Intellectual Property

The design, text, layout and branding of this website belong to True Record Court Reporting unless stated otherwise. Please do not copy or reproduce them without permission.

This does not apply to material you send us, which remains yours.

Acceptable Use

Please use this website reasonably. In particular, do not:

  • submit false or misleading requests
  • upload malicious files, or files you are not entitled to share
  • attempt to gain access to areas of the site that are not public
  • interfere with the operation of the site or its forms
  • use the forms to send unsolicited commercial messages

Website Availability

We aim to keep this website available and its information accurate, but it is provided as it is. Availability may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

If a request is time critical and you have not heard from us, please telephone rather than relying on the form alone.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as the website or our processes change. The version published here is the current one.
